Local authorities need to respond quickly to temporary traffic schemes, emerging congestion hotspots and changing enforcement priorities. Permanent infrastructure can be impractical, costly and time-consuming, especially for temporary requirements. The MetroVision Attended 5G Outstation provides a rapidly deployable enforcement solution that can be operational at short notice, extending coverage wherever it is needed without the delays associated with permanent installations.
The system combines a high-performance colour/mono pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) camera with secure 5G/LTE connectivity. Authorised operators can monitor locations remotely and capture evidential-quality footage in real time. With 40× optical zoom, high-resolution imaging and low-latency communications, it delivers the precision required for effective civil traffic enforcement without fixed roadside infrastructure. This combination supports flexible deployment as enforcement priorities change.
Operators use MetroVision Attended 5G Controllers for responsive, real-time camera control over a secure mobile network connection. Each controller displays up to six live camera feeds simultaneously, enabling a small team to monitor multiple locations from a single authorised control location. This brings geographically separate enforcement locations together in one operating environment. A precision joystick or standard PC controls provide familiar ways to operate the cameras, reducing training requirements while allowing operators to choose their preferred control method.
